It’s definitely got an appeal at some level – probably not the fine art end of the spectrum. Would look great as an effect in illustrating kid’s stories I reckon.

  2. Merv, I love it mate….really arty and every part of the image has its own unique texture etc…really well done mate…very creative!

  3. Print it big and hang it on your wall so you can get some across the board general opinions on it. I quite like it.

  4. It was probably the magic mushies Peter!

  5. No such thing as altered landscape here…..just an altered mind!!! Different but for some reason I like it!!

  6. I love it! I’ve been playing with this filter myself, but not got as good results!

Thanks Katrina. It needs to be used sparingly and it only suits some images.

Keep playing and I’ll be keen to see some results.

I’ll add you too my blog role as well.

Very cool Merv, kinda reminds me of that artist that did all them swirly strokes, no idea of their name but good any way!

  8. Love it Merv…used to be able to get a similar effect with soft poloroid film, playing with the emulsion while it was still wet. Sadly they no longer make that sort of film but great to see it revived with photoshop.
