Hawk Eyes

Posted by mervfrench on August 11, 2010

This was shot out around Menzies north of Kalgoorlie.

Unfortunately I have no Idea what type of hawk or kite  it is and the resident bird expert Dave Bettini is away.  So does anyone want to have a stab ??

Sweet colours with this little guy Mervy!

I’ll take a punt and say its a Hawk! 🙂 Based on my worldly knowledge of the birdlife in Aus…which is pretty limited!

I’d have stab at a kite of some description as the head looks kiteish to me. How’s that for a word !!!

I suppose I should have called it Kite Eye.

I snapped him as he hit the wing, but alas it’s blurry.

It’s probably more correct to say I’m currently considering a feasibility study into the possibility of considering a plan to assess the potential for the development of a pipeline for the carrying of the plans to consider a feasibility study into the possibility of considering a plan to assess the potential for the development of a blog (at some time in the future) 🙂
