Desert Twilight.

Posted by mervfrench on May 17, 2009

A little bit further up the CSR last year  at our camp site. This was taken hand held and in landscape format, it’s easier that way  with a beer in one hand.

I’m  disappointed there wasn’t a little more sky in the shot but it was pretty bland sort of a sky that night, but the beer and the beef  and vegie stew more than made up for the  inadequate sunset and saved the night..

  1. I like the scene and light very much, it could maybe be worked a bit better for composition.

Can you do a video tutorial on your landscape format stitched pano with beer? 🙂

When people say “there’s nothing there” they are missing the point. The point is there’s nothing there. There’s Space. So Much Space. Like in the African Desert. The whole idea is capturing space and Into The Nothing. Look forward to more from CSR!

Thanks Flemming , the beer was taking priority over the composition at that point in time.

I don’t need to do the tutorial , if you try it you’ll pick it up in no time at all, it’s very easy!!!

If you had put the camera on a tripod you might not have had to crop so much off the top. LOL.

  3. Have you thought of purchasing a ‘beer dispensing helmet’?

Not a bad idea Thomas but I don’t want to get too technical.
